Role Summary

The IPC Focal Point is responsible for ensuring strict compliance with all Infection Prevention and Control (IPC) measures throughout the ETC. The post holder supervises and monitors all staff to ensure correct PPE use, safe patient and staff flow, appropriate waste management, environmental decontamination, and implementation of IPC measures in the crèche and caregiver areas. The IPC Focal Point also monitors PPE, chlorine, disinfectant, and hygiene-material consumption to prevent stock-outs.

The project strengthens Ebola preparedness and response in the DRC by improving health facility capacity for infection prevention, triage, and case management while maintaining essential services.
